This Summer Jon Cate has put together a summer devotional plan. I’ve placed it’s entirety under the “Resources” tab here on www.utkcru.org  However, here’s the list of first few for the remaining part of May.

This is the final CRUpdate of the semester.

Three things to know.

1) This Thurs at 7pm is our CRU senior banquet. Cost is 10$. You need to show “attending” on the facbeook event “CRU Senior Banquet”. I’m sure you all have received and invite. Dress is somewhere on the business casual to semi-formal radar. Dress nice. FOod is catered by Olive Garden. Location is at the Hub inside West Park Baptist Church on Middlebrook Pike. 2) End of the Year CRU party!!!! – We will have a day in the park @ Cherokee Park on Saturday April 30th. More details to come. Time appears to be 3:00-7:00. We’ll have snacks. Bring games to play, chairs or blankets, etc. Come chill with friends. *Note… if you turn onto Cherokee Blvd from Kingston Pike go to the 2nd parking entrance on the left toward the end of the park. 3) Summer CRU – Summer plans gotcha’ down? Summer school seem like an oxymoron to you? Well, our remedy for that is Summer CRU. More details to come, but please email brent.crenshaw@uscm.org if you will be in town this summer for more than just a week or so. Usually this runs June 1st-Aug 1st. This is also a good place to bring friends who are back in town from other schools to hang too.

1) Workplace Impact Workshop

Look for the facebook event on the “tennesseeCRU” facebook page.

Snax provided Friday night (eat before you come). Breakfast and lunch provided for Saturday.

We are only buying food for those who RSVP. Please confirm your status on facebook by this Monday at midnight.

2) Japan Relief

Wednesday, April 13th from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm on Pedestrian Walkway. In Japanese culture, receiving 100 origami swans means you are loved and will bring good luck. In honor of this tradition, we invite people to write their best wishes and prayers on these swans. Also, fill up and bring you “Change for a Change” boxes.

3) Next Thursday, April 14th will be the last Cru of the year! Lindsey Hendrix will be giving her farewell speech so be sure to come.

4) No Cru April 21st because of Easter!

5) Senior Banquet

Thursday, April 28th, instead of Cru will be the Senior Banquet at West Park Baptist in the “Hub.” Be sure to dress in your Sunday best. Pay $10 to eat a yummy Olive Garden dinner! If you want to eat, you have to accept or decline on Facebook or pay at Cru next Thursday because we need an exact head count. Bring $10 whether you are eating or not because this will pay for the Senior’s gifts and dinner. Seniors, contact Brittany Nance if you are going to attend (bnance1@utk.edu).

6) End of the Year Party

Saturday, April 30th! It is going to be at Cherokee Park from 3 – 7. Bring games, sports equipment. Snack will be provided. It will be held at the last gravel lot where the bathrooms are located.

7) Relay for Life – Team Scott!

April 15th, 6 pm – April 16th, 6 am in Circle Park. Join us for party to celebrate our own Scott Gianopoulos who is a cancer survivor! Have a fun night and bring extra money for other booths around with fun stuff. Also, bring $10 to get a shirt that says, “SCott + CRU = SCRU Cancer.” All proceeds will go to Relay for Life.
