Tonight is our Senior Banquet 6:30-9 at West Park Baptist Church on Middlebrook Pike. Dress is nice church clothes or dressy casual. $10 at the door if you haven’t purchased a ticket yet. Dinner, dessert, and fun included.

 

 

 

CRUuuuuuu!!!! School is almost out! Booyah! Here’s what’s up…

-Baby Sharp is NOT here yet, but as she is due Monday here’s a heads up (Britton would never tell you this but I will), please text or call him or Brooks before you go visit the hospital. The hospital has some hours that they don’t allow visitors AND a surprise of lots of people at the baby’s feeding time can overwhelm a new mom. Hope this helps.

- Secular Student Alliance (SSA) needs our help. What a great time to reach out and serve. Sat (tomorrow) from 10-12 at Ijams Nature Center. Landscaping duties include exctraction management of undesireables (pulling weeds). Meet in the Humes gravel lot at 9:30 am. If you have questions call Bailey Young 865-323-3937

-Outreach this week on the PED. Giveaways from 11-3 Tues, Wed, and Thurs. Bring your bible study or friends out. All the materials and giveaways will be there. For more info email Chris Wood christopher.wood@uscm.org

- Worship Auditions – We need instruments. Literally we need a bass player, electric guitar, drums, and other instruments. We know there are some talented Freshmen and others who play banjo, mandolin, etc. We want you! Also if you are super passionate about singing please email brent.crenshaw@gmail.com  For all instruments email awolfe11@utk.edu

- Next week CRU will meet at Redeemer again. We’ll hear from Cayli Clemmons. Spread the word.

- April 26th will be the senior banquet. The juniors are planning a super fun and honoring night. There will be tickets for sale soon. Location is West Park Baptist in the HUB area. Dress is church type attire. Starts at 6:30. Look for more info to come. Dinner and dessert will be served.

- End of the Semester Picnic in the Park !  World’s Fair Park from 2-5pm on Saturday April 28th. Bring your frisbee, lunch, etc. Drinks provided.

- Summer Project People – CRU, there are probably 15+ students from our body going to overseas summer projects and/or stateside. If you and your family back home want to support them financially please email brent.crenshaw@gmail.com. These students are stepping out in faith and raising a few thousand dollars to go. Please consider making a financial commitment to them personally (something you could give over the summer while working Ex. $50)  Or ask your mom and dad to support your friends going. They are a worthy investment!!!!

CRU meetings

No CRU next Thurs April 5^th due to “no classes” Friday (Good Friday)

April 12^th and 19^th we will meet at 7:30 for two final installments of how to walk with God over the summer. However, back by popular demand… we will be back at Redeemer Pres Chuch on 17^th and Highland (with Air Conditioning this time). The vibe was cool and requested again. Note, we will only finish out our semester there and be back in a more traditional site in August.

 

Senior Banquet

Will be Thurs April 26^th at 6:00 pm at The HUB at West Park Baptist Church. Dinner provided… church dress for attire. Tickets are $10 but include dinner! Come honor our seniors. More info to come.

August Return

Classes begin August 22^nd. We are asking all CRU leaders who lead bible studies or servant teams to be back in town by August 14^th. Note, this may mean adjusting schedules with camps, internships, etc. Our first leadership thing will be Aug 15-17^th.
