living inside a great story

style

March11

This is my team after staff meeting one day, we’ve all developed this great sense of style since living in Eastern Europe. The tshirt over the collared look, I’m wearing the girl version (I think). It’s inspired, truly.

trying Jesus

March10

That’s what a girl said to me today after I shared the gospel with her. It just sounds so wrong and it is. Like taking Jesus out for a test drive, or some equivalent. Keep praying for her. Her name is Sandra. I gave her the little booklet - in English and in Slovak and told her to think it over and I’d call her in a week. I’ll keep you updated. Thanks for praying for her.

find out about prayer

March3

It’s March, and I really can’t believe it. The students here started back on February 18th, so we’ve been on campus for about two weeks now, we’ve seen God show up in a lot of ways, mainly through prayer. God is teaching me a lot about prayer, too, and how significant it is when we trust Him to work. I recently read this, “When a doctoral student at Princeton asked, “What is there left for original dissertation research?” Albert Einstein replied, “Find out about prayer. Somebody must find out about prayer.”

I feel like my team is finding out about prayer. A few of the ways we’ve seen God answer prayer in the past two weeks:
-He’s led us to spiritually interested new students
-He has awakened the hearts of believers connected to our movement and they are desiring growth
-He secured a room for our english club that we’ll have over the course of the next two weeks
-He’s teaching me a lot in my personal times with Him, I’m currently studying Romans

Please pray for my team, for our times with Jesus to be refreshing and real and that God will supply us with focus and energy, as these next two weeks will be our most strategic time to connect with students before Easter.

Here is my latest update. I hope you enjoy reading about one spiritual journey in particular.

God is at work. I’m so thankful for your prayers and partnership.
